Andrew Garton I played Katie's previous album to an ailing friend who had themselves been a most unique and ambitious songwriter and musician. It was the last time we shared music together. He listened deeply, intently, smiling at times and nodding gently, his eyes closed. He suffered terribly from muscular dystrophy. We lost Tony Nirta, but the memory of that evening lingers still within this new album, deeply resonant with heart and the fragile connective tissue of music that can hold onto us all.
